The records include the constitution and bylaws, minutes, reports, and correspondence of the organization from its establishment in 1929 to 1956. The minutes of the regular and executive board meetings make up the bulk of the material. The minutes disclose problems of paving, street signs, lighting, sanitation, zoning, fire protection, war (civil) defense and neighborhood pride. Included are the names inscribed on the Service Roll Plaque commemorating those from the Southwest Lynbrook area who were serving in the uniformed forces of the United States in 1943. Persons involved in the organization's activities include: Frank J. Becker, Jr., Norman Lent, Sr., Irving G. Williams, and J. Russell Sprague.
